With experience in public accounting since 1968 at both the local and national level, Dick Karpinski's expertise covers a wide range of tax and accounting services.  He has advised clients concerning audits of  multinational corporations; corporate, trust and individual tax return preparation; estate planning; business planning and forecasting; projections for public offerings;  employee search and hiring and consulting with closely held businesses on day-to-day operations.  His specialty is providing small businesses with the specific services needed to manage and control their operations.

Dick graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in accounting in 1968. Subsequently he was employed with the International firm of Coopers and Lybrand through 1978, at which time he acquired a local Phoenix CPA practice.

Russell has been involved in the field of public accounting since 1971 working for firms in Los Angeles, California, Austin, Texas and Scottsdale, Arizona. His experience extends over several areas of accounting, including audits, reviews and compiled financial statements, as well as individual income tax returns, trusts, corporations, partnerships, retirements plans, estates, trusts and not-for-profit entities. In 1985, Russell opened his own full service accounting firm, specializing in small business accounting. He is knowledgeable in the operations of numerous types of businesses. Russell has highly developed skills in financial management, expertise in pension plans and extensive experience in staff supervision, training and motivation. In January 2012, Russell merged with Karpinski and Company at which time they formed the firm of Karpinski, Berry & Company, PLC. This merger will allow him to enhance his already successful career and afford him additional resources to better assist his clients.

Rusell received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting Degree from Arizona State University in 1971. He is currently certified as a CPA in both Arizona and California

SONSA RAE

Associate—Accountant

Owner of  Accounting á La Carte, from 1999 through 2009, Sonsa's specialty is the small business with less than 50 employees and annual sales of $5 million.  Her expertise as a Registered Paid Preparer with the IRS includes tax preparation for Individuals, Sole Proprietors and Single Member LLC's.  She is also a Quickbook's Advisor, Notary Public and member of the National Society of Accountants.  She especially enjoys helping new businesses get set up and running smoothly to avoid future headaches.  

Sonsa's previous experience was in the private sector as an Accountant for a variety of businesses.  Her education includes Business Management as well as Accounting plus Technical Software Applications.

CAROL ISACSON

Carol has been an office administrator in the accounting industry in excess of 25 years.  She began her career in the Chicago Metropolitan Area and after relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona and a short hiatus she resumed her career at Karpinski, Berry & Company, PLC in October 2006.  Carol's responsibilities include keeping the office running smoothly and efficiently.  She is in charge of all tax return and financial statement processing, e-filing, time reporting, billing, accounts receivable and all other services to assure that our clients get the best possible service at all times.  Her pleasant and courteous manner and her desire to assist our clients in any way she can has made her an asset to our staff.
